Ria Formosa Tour

You won’t be able to take your eyes off it… Declared a Natural Park in 1987, Ria Formosa is one of Portugal’s 7 Natural Wonders. This stunningly complex lagoon system, teeming with diverse fauna and flora, is in a constant state of flux due to the influences of winds, currents, and tides.

The natural park designation not only protects local wildlife, such as flamingos, seahorses, and rare birds, but also supports small fishing communities that rely on traditional and sustainable fishing methods, which might otherwise be lost to mass development.

The tour takes you to the beautiful villages of Cacela Velha or Quatro Águas. You can actually do whatever you like—just talk to the skipper.
