THE MINT BERRY ALE

One day a Mint branch saw how sad Lima was and decided to help her get together with Raspberry, talked to his friend Açúcar and they disguised Lima as “Sour” so that Raspberry would feel the most sour and the sweetest lime. After some time together they saw that the sugar was not enough to keep them together so Mint decided to join them because it was clear that they lacked some freshness, as she didn’t want to go alone, she called her friend Ginger to spice things up only when meeting Sugar, the Ginger melted all over and turned into Ginger Ale. With this transformation he embraced everyone else involved and together they filled in each other’s flaws. It was then in this beautiful love story full of emotions that this Grand drink was born.

This is the story of a girl who had a sleep disorder due to bad dreams that hovered over her. This girl, fed up with sleepless nights or horrible nightmares, has done intensive research on how to stop this situation. She visited libraries, researched the internet, consulted people experienced in the subject and nothing changed, it was then that one day she went to visit the Vila Real de Stº António lighthouse and, during that visit, she found a very old book that spoke of a legend about the GRAND Mother Buffalo and in the dream catcher. She showed how to build her dreamcatcher and had a recipe for a potion that, when taken at night, would ward off all evils around her. That girl never had a sleepless night, and today she is part of our Grand team sharing with us the secret to a restful sleep.

WILD LAVENDER | €12
CACHAÇA, LAVENDER, RASPBERRY PUREE, LIME, MASCAVA SUGAR
After the Moorish invasion 1300 years ago, there was a clear influence of its dominion in our region and culture, among them, Lavender, also known as “lavender”. After the invasion, there was a great plague of fever that haunted this region of the current Algarve, harming the majority of the natives. The then “Portuguese” added some red berries that existed in abundance in the Algarve forests (raspberry) and to that lavender, at the time, it was thought that everything that burned cured, so they added a kind of unpalatable brandy that was available at the time. . Due to its strong flavor, they added sugar to sweeten the preparation and thus drink it and cure fever. 1300 years later, we discovered the recipe and recreated it with current products. Does fever cure? We don’t know, but, who kills this overwhelming summer heat there that kills… But what a great drink.

This is the story of a fisherman whose wife tried to poison him. This man spent a lot of time in the Mediterranean Sea and his wife thought that she was neglecting her, so every day, after breakfast, she mixed a little poison so that her husband would “die little by little”… daughter of the couple, prepared a tonic every night for her father to relax when he returned from the sea. One day, the daughter saw her mother add a liquid to her father’s coffee, she was curious to see what it was about and became very sick. The woman, afraid of suffering the consequences, ran away from home and, when the husband returned, he found her dying daughter on the couch, luckily, he remembered to give her daughter some tonic and she got better. Thanks to that tonic, father and daughter survived since its properties nullified the effect of the poison. Nothing is known of the woman to this day, but,
we kept the recipe by the yes or no.
